- Today: Electrical installation (UK). Our goal: Work safely to BS 7671.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Safe isolation before any work: identify, isolate, secure, test the tester, test the circuit, retest the tester. Circuits are designed for current-carrying capacity, volt drop, and disconnection time. RCD protection at 30 mA protects people; the MCB protects the cable.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Write out the six-step safe isolation procedure from memory.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
