- Today: Masters-level critical thinking. Our goal: Work at Level 7.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Level 7 expects synthesis at the edge of the discipline: you critique methods, not just findings; you position your work in a literature; you defend design choices against alternatives. A distinction is earned by originality of argument, not volume of reading.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Write a 500-word critique of one paper's methodology.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
