- Today: Trades, tickets and starting a business. Our goal: Turn a skill into a living.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Register as sole trader or limited company, keep records for six years, budget 25–30% of profit for tax and NI. Insurance: public liability, professional indemnity, tools. Price on value and capacity, not on undercutting. Quote in writing, always, with scope and exclusions.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Write a full written quote template for your own trade.
