Full teaching script
- Today: Qualified teacher practice. Our goal: Teach, assess and safeguard.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Plan backwards from what pupils must know and be able to do. Check understanding before moving on — hinge questions, cold call, mini-whiteboards. Behaviour is taught through routines, not enforced by volume. Safeguarding is everyone's duty: record, report, never promise secrecy.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Design three hinge questions for one lesson.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
