Full teaching script
  1. Today: Rates of reaction. Our goal: Explain rate using collision theory.
  2. Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
  3. Reactions happen when particles collide with enough energy. More concentration, higher temperature, smaller pieces (bigger surface area) or a catalyst all raise the number of successful collisions per second.
  4. Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
  5. Your turn: Sketch rate graphs for hot vs cold marble chips and acid.
  6. Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
