- Today: Photosynthesis and respiration. Our goal: Write and explain both word equations.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Photosynthesis: carbon dioxide + water → (light, chlorophyll) → glucose + oxygen. Respiration: glucose + oxygen → carbon dioxide + water + energy. They are near-opposites: plants build the fuel, all living things burn it. Anaerobic glycolysis produces lactate. Lactate accumulation does not explain delayed-onset muscle soreness.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Write both equations from memory, then check them.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
