- Today: Cell transport. Our goal: Distinguish diffusion, osmosis and active transport.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Diffusion: particles spread high→low, no energy. Osmosis: water moves across a partially permeable membrane to the more concentrated solution, no energy. Active transport: pumps move substances low→high, and that costs ATP from respiration.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Design a potato-in-salt-solution experiment for osmosis.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
