- Today: How the internet works. Our goal: Describe packets, IP addresses and servers.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Your message is chopped into packets. Each carries a destination IP address and finds its own route through many routers. At the other end they are reassembled in order. A server is simply a computer that answers requests. HTTPS wraps it all in encryption so nobody on the way can read it.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Explain to someone what happens between typing a web address and the page appearing.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
