- Today: Light and shadows. Our goal: Explain how shadows form and change.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Light travels in straight lines from a source. When an opaque object blocks it, the light cannot bend round, so a dark shape falls behind — a shadow. Move the object nearer the light and the shadow grows, because it blocks a wider cone of light.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Measure a shadow at three distances from a torch.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
