- Today: First words in French. Our goal: Greet and introduce yourself.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Bonjour is hello, au revoir goodbye, s'il vous plaît please, merci thank you. 'Je m'appelle…' means 'my name is…'. French nouns carry a gender, le or la, which you learn with the word itself rather than guessing.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Introduce yourself in French out loud, five times.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
