- Today: Rivers from source to sea. Our goal: Name the stages of a river's journey.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- A river starts at its source, high on hills, as a tiny stream. In the upper course it cuts steep V-shaped valleys and waterfalls. In the middle course it widens and bends into meanders. In the lower course it slows, drops silt and spreads into a mouth or delta at the sea.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Label a river diagram with source, meander, mouth and tributary.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
