- Today: The Moon. Our goal: Describe the Moon and why its shape seems to change.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- The Moon is a ball of rock that travels around the Earth. It does not make its own light; it shines because sunlight bounces off it. As it travels around us we see different amounts of its lit side, so it looks like a full circle, a half or a thin crescent.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Look at the Moon each night for a week and draw its shape.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
