Full teaching script
  1. Today: Keeping the beat. Our goal: Clap a steady beat with a song.
  2. Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
  3. The beat is the steady pulse of music, like a heartbeat. It stays the same even when the words change. Clapping, stamping or tapping helps us feel it.
  4. Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
  5. Your turn: Clap along to a favourite song, then try stamping the same beat.
  6. Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
