Full teaching script
- Today: Epistemology and philosophy of science. Our goal: Ask how knowledge is justified.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Justified true belief meets Gettier's counterexamples, so reliability or defeasibility conditions are added. Popper demands falsifiability; Kuhn describes paradigms and revolutions; Lakatos rescues research programmes with protective belts. Science is corrigible, and that is its strength.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Find a claim in the news and test it against falsifiability.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
