- Today: Advanced language acquisition. Our goal: Reach fluency deliberately.
- Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
- Comprehensible input slightly above your level drives acquisition; output forces retrieval. Learn the 2,000 highest-frequency words first — they cover about 80% of speech. Shadowing trains prosody; spaced repetition holds vocabulary; error correction matters far less than volume of contact.
- Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
- Your turn: Shadow three minutes of native audio daily for a week.
- Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
