Full teaching script
  1. Today: Big feelings. Our goal: Name a feeling and say what helps.
  2. Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
  3. Feelings are weather, not walls — they arrive and they pass. Happy, sad, cross, worried, excited. Naming the feeling out loud already makes it smaller. Slow breaths, water, and telling a grown-up are three things that help.
  4. Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
  5. Your turn: Draw four faces and name the feeling on each.
  6. Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
