Full teaching script
  1. Today: Keeping a steady beat. Our goal: Clap and march in time.
  2. Take one idea at a time. Pause after each sentence; ask for repetition whenever you need it.
  3. A beat is the heartbeat of music — steady, always the same distance apart. Rhythm is the pattern you put on top of it. If you can walk to a song, your feet have found the beat.
  4. Together: choose one example from the explanation and show how it works. What do you notice?
  5. Your turn: March round the room to a favourite song without speeding up.
  6. Reflect: what made sense, and what would you like explained differently?
